3D mapping animation for the world's tallest watchtower! Project realized for Yellow Lab studio from Canada. An exciting project from the very beginning, as it is the opening of the Binance exchange in Dubai.

A one-of-a-kind event that also required one-of-a-kind animation. The animation displayed on Burj Khalifa made an incredible impression. Below you will see a video of what it looked like live!

Project outline

When Andrew Embury of YellowLab asked us for this project, it was hard to believe that it would be displayed on the tallest building in the world. We knew that it would be challenging not only because of the scale of the event, but also because of the short deadline. The whole animation was completed in just over a month. Intense month.

Stylistics and Concept

In advance, the premise was to maintain the design referring to the Binance brand, but also to have its digital, futuristic style. Relatively demanding in terms of the design of the scenes was the characteristic shape of the building, in which we had to fit in, pay attention to the technical aspects as well as the dynamics of the whole animation so that the whole show turned out as it should. And he left!

The end result

We were on location in Dubai when our animation was shown on Burj Khalifa. The view of the tallest building in the world is already impressive in itself, let alone seeing your own animation displayed on the countless LEDs that the building is equipped with. An amazing experience, especially when after the finished display the gathered people around applauded!
